My three favourite tours of Gothenburg

Botanical Garden

The Garden’s total area is 175 hectares (about 430 acres), most of which is a nature reserve and includes the Arboretum. The garden proper is about 40 hectares (almost 99 acres) with something like 16,000 different species and cultivars in various parts of it. I compose the guidance according to your wishes and to the season.

By the water

In the beginning was the herring. Later, there was a battle for the sea route to the world. Follow development of Gothenburg through a journey across the river starting from the cultural reserve Klippan, through explosively developed north side, back to the south side of the river to one of Gothenburg's historic harbours.

Two Churches

Rarely can two churches so close to each other in time and space be so different. Oscar Fredric's church from 1893 is a gem in neo-Gothic style - and the monumental landmark in Gothenburg, Masthugg Church in national romantic style 20 years later just a stone's throw from the former. Both are architectural pearls by ambitious architects. Except the churches are beautiful as buildings, the walk also offers a great view over the city.
